Catch-up

Wow, time flies! I have been busy, that’s for sure. But despite my intentions, blog posting has been neglected for a while.

But that doesn’t mean I haven’t done much art, I have spent at least a couple of hours in my studio most days. And here are some of the things I have been doing.

1) Reviewing portfolio: Looking through my recent submissions (at uni) and decided which one to keep (maybe submitting to exhibitions later), edit or recycle.

2) Experiment: Coldwax+Oilpaint has interested me for its layering possibilities. As the workshop I had booked is now postponed to September, I watched youtube videos and went ahead and tried.

I found it a little messy - especially until I got to know the materials. But I am still only scratching the surface (pun intended).

3) Art education: Playing with my 6 year old step-granddaughter. ‘Art education’ is an exaggeration of course, but I do want to support her love of art and encourage her to keep enjoying it.
